Children

Sunday School 9:45 AM · Children’s church during morning worship

Children are a gift from God, and we would love to work hand in hand with you as you teach your child about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Every Sunday your child can attend Sunday School. During morning worship, children’s church meets in our children’s area downstairs, with a Bible lesson from God’s Word, coloring, singing, and prayer.

We also plan activities for children throughout the year. Some are service projects, like visiting local rest homes and making encouragement cards for the sick and for community leaders. Others are just for fun: our Easter egg hunt, trunk-or-treat, Vacation Bible School, and a back-to-school bingo party.

Kate Knobloch, our Director of Family Ministries, would be glad to help you get your family connected.

Youth

Middle & high school · Sunday nights

Any middle or high schooler is welcome to be part of our youth group. We meet on Sunday nights for Bible study, studying both books of the Bible and topics, always putting the Bible first, along with fellowship, snacks, and games.

Our aim is to present Jesus Christ as the only way to heaven (John 14:6). We do that by investing time in one another, being sincere and consistent, and sharing a clear gospel message. We try to plan a service project and a fun activity each month.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”Matthew 28:19

Brothers in Christ

Breakfast & fellowship · 2nd Saturday morning each month

Our goal as men of God is to reach the lost world through the love of Jesus Christ and to stay the course of our faith with God’s Word and strength behind us. We believe God is calling men to step up and lead their homes and church spiritually.

Brothers in Christ also serves our community. To ask for help or to get involved, email brothersinchrist@altamahawbaptistchurch.org.

Women

Monthly fellowship

The women of Altamahaw meet monthly for fellowship, from sharing a meal to service projects in the community. We work together, pray together, and fellowship together so that we can grow together spiritually.

Our mission is to reach the lost in our community by doing what Jesus asks of us and being the best servants we can be. We hope you’ll join us.

Seniors

Fellowship meal · 1st Saturday evening each month

It is an honor to have so many men and women in their golden years who have been faithful through the years. Our seniors cling to the promise of Hebrews 13:5, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Each month the senior ministry gathers for food and fellowship. They also take a yearly trip to the North Carolina mountains, and each year on Seniors’ Day they lead all of our services. To join, just come to church or speak with a member of the senior ministry committee.

“Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.”Job 32:7
